A huge well done to Steve and Hannah for dressing up as Wallace and Gromit for a prize giving at Portway School on Monday morning. Inevitably, photos were taken and are below!

Portway Academic Review Day

Here are some photos from Highgrove's involvement in the Academic Review Day on Wednesday 21 November.

Every parent and child (over 400 local people) was greeted at the door by someone from Highgrove…

…was registered by the Highgrove registration team…

…and then served with drinks and cakes and friendly chat by Highgrove volunteers.

17 Highgrove volunteers took part in serving over 500 teas/coffees and hundreds of cakes throughout the whole day and evening (some for the whole 12 hours!)

…and always with a SMILE!

The parents loved it, the school management really appreciated the welcome the parents had received, and the staff felt very blessed by the service.
A massive

Thank You!

to all of you who gave up time on the day or to help with cakes.

Leaflets and Prayer walking in Sea Mills

As you may have heard on a Sunday morning or through homegroups, we're setting aside the morning of Saturday 6th October between 9am and 12pm to deliver the new Highgrove leaflet and Alpha flier through doors in our local area.

We're aiming to put them through every door in Sea Mills and Coombe Dingle as well as praying for every household in a focused effort on this one morning. In theory, 8-10 people could fairly easily deliver all 3,500 leaflets in the space of 2 hours. However, some may feel they would like to knock on doors and introduce themselves and handover the leaflets in person. If so, great! - if we don't manage to get all the leaflets delivered in one go because we keep getting tied up in conversations with people then that's fantastic!

If you'd be interested in taking part in this, I'd appreciate knowing about it (even if you've spoken to me already) to help me in planning the logistics. Please do reply to ed@highgrove.org.uk if you are coming along to help. We'll be meeting at Highgrove at just before 9am to start with a croissant and coffee/tea.

It's gonna be great!

With lots of love
Ed
